Prince William and Kate’s first child has been named George. According to a palace statement, his title is Prince George of Cambridge. William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, are enjoying some private time with their newborn son at Kensington Palace and Buckleberry, the town where Kate’s family lives. Since his birth, families on both sides have visited baby George, Kate and Prince William. The royal couple became first-time parents on Monday and appeared with their son at St. Mary’s Hospital in London Tuesday. Prince George of Cambridge was born on July 22, 2013 at 4:24 p.m. and weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces. The much-anticipated announcement was posted on a golden easel in front of Buckingham Palace. For days, news media and people gathered outside the hospital and Buckingham palace for news of the royal birth and a look at the royal baby. Prince George will be third in line to the British throne.
