More blasts of cold air continue into the weekend and next week for the Tampa Bay area and Florida. On Friday morning, patchy frost was seen in areas north of Tampa and Hillsborough County. Florida residents and visitors accustomed to warmer weather wore jackets, sweaters and heavier clothing this weekend. For Mark Leon, the sunny, chilly and breezy weather was just right. Leon, a Target employee at the store in Town and Country, hails from Anchorage, Alaska. While shoppers were bundled up, Leon was outside in his short-sleeved uniform to gather the shopping carts in the store’s parking lot Saturday afternoon. The temperature was 57 degrees.
Sunday morning temperatures were forecast to be in the 30’s and 40’s with areas of patchy frost possible.
