May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, but also a time to celebrate graduations. Ferdian Jap, an Asian-American, was among 260 graduates who received their law degrees from Stetson University College of Law on May 17th. After graduation, Jap hopes to practice Real Estate and Corporate Law.
While in law school, Jap also is Managing Partner of NJ Investment Group, Inc., a real estate investment company that focuses on single and multi-family properties. According to his web page, Jap is passionate about entrepreneurship, helping young businesses with finding funding and early stage development. He also founded SIFE and is a Board Member of the University of South Florida nonprofit group that promotes free enterprise.
Jap is a Board Member of the Gasparilla International Film Festival, Project Specialist at the Tampa River Walk and involved with numerous Chamber of Commerces in the Tampa Bay area.
He also was named in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Under-30 Up & Comers List in 2010 and is past president of the USF Entrepreneurship Alumni Society. Jap also volunteers for Asia Fest Tampa Bay, an annual community festival to celebrate Asian heritage and culture.
Jap also earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Tampa in 2010 and a Master Science degree in Applied Technology from the University of South Florida in 2008.
