Quiet Time with God

As we honor veterans and the sacrifices they’ve made for our country on Veterans Day, November 11, 2014, below are Bible verses, originally published for soldiers and veterans by John Callahan on http://www.christianpost.com. The apostle Paul while in prison, wrote a letter to Timothy, a young Christian, to encourage him while facing conflict and opposition. “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ,” Paul writes as part of 2 Timothy 1:1 through 2:10.

We invite you to be blessed by God’s word each day to stay strong in faith and in grace that is in Jesus Christ.  We also recommend reading the entire chapter with each verse listed below to put it all in Biblical context.

Our humble thanks to America’s veterans and soldiers.

1. Monday: Josua 1:9

2. Psalms 33:20-22

3. 2 Samuel 22:2-4

4. Ephesians 6:11

5. John 15:13

6. 1 Corinthians 16:13

7. Psalms 46:1
