Christmas-New Year’s Travel & Weather

It was quiet at the Southwest departure gate at Tampa International Airport on Christmas Eve morning as rainy weather pushed east toward Florida. An artic weather system brought foggy, rainy, cold, dreary weather last weekend to Texas. Temperatures dropped 20 degrees and were in the 40’s and 50’s. Holiday ice skaters and shoppers at the Galleria in Houston didn’t mind.  On Tuesday, two terminals at TIA were open and packed with travelers for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as airport expansion plans take off.

Happy New Year!
