The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate a fatal crash at a Walt Disney World race track in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It happened Sunday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m. at World Drive and Floridian Way. A Lamborghini was participating in an automotive experience at Walt Disney World Speedway. As the 2-door car went around the racetrack, the driver failed to maneuver through the course and lost control. The Lamborghini left the course and its right side and hit the guardrail, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Gary Terry, 36, of Davenport, Florida was killed Terry was a passenger in the Lamborghini. Tavon Watson, 24, of Kissimmee, Florida was the driver and treated at Celebration Hospital for minor injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts.
No charges at this time against Watson.
Sgt. Montes says photos of the fatal crash were taken, but are not public record.
