Lowe’s in Carrollwood hosted the third annual “Earth Day Recycle and Help Repair the World Recycle Repurpose and Reuse” event for anyone wanting to get rid of stuff they can’t use anymore on Sunday, April 19th in Tampa.  Vehicles lined up with old television sets, fluorescent lights, electronics, cell phones and documents to shred from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Lowe’s parking lot at Fletcher Avenue and N. Dale Mabry. Volunteers from Jesuit High School and other groups collected the items to recycle. Donations of small furniture, household items, canned food for a local food bank, clothing and American flags also were collected.

The recycling repurpose and reuse event was held ahead of Earth Day this year.

Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22.
