For Meyerland homeowners flooded out 10 days ago, big black disaster relief trucks started rolling through to collect piles of damaged sheet rock, cabinets, carpet and other items Wednesday morning near Endicott and Loch Lomond. The constable also patrolled the area this morning for any looters and scammers. Signs to buy flooded homes also have popped up. Newer homes built up higher weathered well from the massive storms that overwhelmed Brays Bayou and storm drains in the area.
Houston officials and FEMA representatives also will be at two town hall meetings to help flood victims file claims and answer questions about permitting, debris collection and other flood related matters.
