The Chicago Blackhawks won Game 6 to win their third Stanley Cup in 6 years. The Tampa Bay Lightning were scoreless at United Center in Chicago Monday night. The final score was Chicago Blackhawks 2, Tampa Bay Lightning 0. Lightning fans packed Amalie Arena in Tampa for the official watch party. Game 6 was a must-win game for the Lightning to stay alive in the playoffs. Although it was a heartbreaking loss, the Lightning had an exciting second season. Fans are grateful and proud that the team played in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Game 5 is at Amalie Arena on Saturday, June 6th at 8 p.m. If you’re going to the game, Morgan Street between Whiting Street and Brorein Street in downtown Tampa is closed for utility work of the Aurora residential complex. The City of Tampa says street closure may impact your commute to Amalie Arena. The construction and street improvements are expected to be completed by Sunday, June 28th. For alternate routes, go to http://www.tampagov.net. The game airs on WFLA-TV/NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Local stations also will have coverage of the watch parties, the fans and post-game highlights.

Game 4’s Official Watch Party at Curtis Hixon Park was canceled Wednesday due to heavy rain and flooding in the Tampa Bay area and for the public’s safety, WFLA-TV reported. The National Weather Service forecasted 80% rain chance and storms through the evening. The Bolts lost to the Blackhawks in Chicago in Game 4 at United Center. The final score was Bolts 1 Hawks 2. Coach Jon Cooper put in rookie goalie Andre Vasilevskiy to play for Ben Bishop. Both teams have won 2 games in the 7 game finals. Game 5 is in Tampa and will be broadcast at 8 p.m. on WFLA-TV this Saturday.
Thousands of Tampa Bay hockey fans watched the Tampa Bay Lightning win Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals Playoffs at the Official Watch Party at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa, at home or smaller watch parties in the suburbs Monday night. The official watch party was moved away from Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning because the overflow crowds were getting too big outside Amalie arena in the Channelside area, local news media report.
The final score was Bolts 3 Blackhawks 2 in Game 3 in Chicago. Goalie Ben Bishop played the entire game. Each team must win the most games of the 7- game finals. The Bolts play Game 4 in Chicago. Game 5 will be played in Tampa this Saturday night.
