The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms Explosives announced a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects who shot and killed Tampa grandmother Sharon Watkins. That’s in addition to the Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay reward of $3,000. Watkins, 58, was sleeping in her bed at 1805 Delaware Ave. North, #153 in Tampa when the suspect or suspects shot into her home as she slept. Watkins died from her injuries before she was found. Police say the shooting happened between 1:51 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on June 27, 2015. Law enforcement also believe Watkins was a victim of rival neighborhood gangs.
