Confederate Flag Removed in Hillsborough County Center

Hillsborough County Commissioners voted unanimously to take down the Confederate Flag in the lobby of the County Center in downtown Tampa on Wednesday, July 15th. By this morning, the flag was gone.  The lone African American commissioner, Les Miller requested the flag be taken down. The Board of Commissioners agreed after an emotional debate on the issue, according to local news reports.  The Confederate flag was moved to the Tampa History Museum for display.
