Cuba-U.S. Embassies Re-Open

A woman in Havana gives the thumbs up on the announcement of the re-opening of embassies in Cuba and the United States. Just after midnight today, both countries re-opened embassies in Havana and Washington, DC.  President Dwight D. Eisenhower cut diplomatic ties to Cuba on January 3, 1961, according to history.com  On the right, the gleaming embassy in Washington, DC.
