Mulberry, Florida Construction Shooting Suspect Arrested


Updated Aug. 14, 2015 – Danny Coleman Thompson, Jr. was recaptured near his parents’ home in Lakeland, Florida on Aug. 13th.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for 39-year-old Danny Coleman Thompson, Jr.   Thompson, 39, of Lakeland, is wanted in connection to a shooting at MES-GCI Construciton at 2360 Old Highway 60 in Mulberry, Florida.

The suspect is a white male, 6’2″ in height with brown hair and blue eyes. Thompson was last seen wearing a a cap, t-shirt and blue jeans.  The PCSO considers him armed and dangerous.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says Thompson came to the construction business at around 2:22 p.m. today, July 30, 2015 and started shooting at employees.

Two people were hurt and taken to Lakeland Regional Health Center for treatment. Another victim was not hurt during the shooting.
