On Saturday afternoon, the yellow crime scene tape was mostly gone. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies were there to retrieve one of their cars on the driveway and a pet inside the home where 2 people were murdered on Thursday night.  Peace and calm had returned to Somerset Village in Carrollwood Village after news of an arrest.  At this time,  it’s unknown as to why these two people were shot and killed.

Nicole Nachtman, 21, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Colonel Donna Luscynski at a Friday night news conference in the neighborhood.  The Tampa Tribune reports  Nachtman was arrested Friday in Tallahassee and that Florida State Police and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were involved in the arrest. FOX 13 reports Nachtman was in her dorm room at Florida State University at the time of her arrest. Nachtman is accused of killing her mother, Myriam Dienes, 56, and her stepfather, Robert Dienes on Thursday night at  her mother’s home on Fennsbury Drive in Somerset Village in Carrollwood Village.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a double homicide at 14110 Fennsbury Drive in Somerset Village, a quiet subdivision in Carrollwood Village. On Friday afternoon, Sheriff David Gee identified one of the 2 victims, a Naval Reserve captain at a news conference. The sheriff’s gut feeling is that the victims knew who killed them.
