Pope Francis Visit to Cuba and United States

On the eve of Pope Francis’ historic visit to the United States, people of all faiths are praying for his safe travel to Washington, DC, New York City and Philadelphia.  Parishioners at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Carrollwood in Tampa, Florida also are praying for Pope Francis and look forward to the Pope’s visit to America.

“Shepherd One” has landed in the United States. – 4:15 p.m. ET, Sept. 22, 2015 

After a historic visit to Cuba this weekend, Pope Francis comes to the United States. Pope Francis is scheduled to arrive at Joint Base Andrews from Cuba around 4 p.m. Tuesday. During the next 5 days, Pope Francis will meet with President Obama,  Congress, U.S. Bishops at St. Matthews Cathedral and the United Nations General Assembly. Security is expected to be tight during Pope Francis’ stops in the United States. Masses of believers and non-believers will get to see the  “People’s Pope” at papal parades and organized events before Pope Francis departs for Rome on Sunday night.
