Fall weather is finally here on this first weekend in October. Drier, cooler weather arrived in central Florida Saturday afternoon. The autumn colors also were more evident on this stretch of Interstate 4 from Poinciana-Kissimmee to the Winter Haven-Lake Alfred. The National Weather Service forecasts a high temperature of 81 degrees and low tonight of 68 degrees with rain chances of 60% decreasing to 40% later Sunday.
After a dreary, rainy start on Sunday morning, some periods of sunshine and cloudy skies on Sunday afternoon along the Courtney Campbell Causeway in the Tampa Bay area.
