Tampa Premium Outlets Grand Opening

The new Tampa Premium Outlets  opened Thursday, October 29th at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:40 a.m. Acccording to its website, the new outlet mall opened with 90 outlet stores that include Michael Kors, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th, Calvin Klein, J. Crew, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Tumi, Talbot’s, Express, Banana Republic Factory Store, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Gap, Cole Haan, Nine West, ECCO, Clarks Bostonian, Sketchers and more. Fast food restaurants in the mall’s Market Hall are South Philly Steaks & Fries, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s Beyond Great, Asian Chao and Johnny Rockets Hamburgers.   Johnny Rockets opens on November 12th. There’s also a Starbucks nearby, Aunt Annie’s, Haagen Dazs and Nestle Toll House/Eddy’s Ice Cream at the outlet mall.

Mall officials expect the outlet stores will draw international shoppers and has its website in German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portugese, Chinese, Korean and English.

So far, the grand opening weekend has been a busy one. The outlet mall has 2,000 parking spaces and each day, the mall has provided overflow, additional parking lots.

Most outlets retailers are offering 25-65% discounts and customers can save more with outlet mall coupons, opening a store credit card or with in-store promotions. For example, Talbot’s Outlet has 50% off regular priced sweaters and pants, 40% off everything else and an extra 50% off markdowns. Television personality Bethenny Frankel of “Real Housewives” also will be at the VIP Shoppers Club Lounge at the Coral Court by Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1 p.m. -3:30 p.m.

On Thursday’s Grand Opening and Friday, the mall had Grand Opening Prize-An-Hour Giveaways at the Main Stage from 11 a.m. – 4:55 p.m.  There also is strolling entertainment and music at the Main Stage. Many outlet stores also are offering free prizes, gift cards and in-store events to customers, too.

The grand opening hours are Thursday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Oct. 29-Oct. 31)

On Sunday, Nov. 1, the hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Take I-75 north and get off at Exit 59 (Land O Lakes/Tarpon Springs) to S.R. 56. Turn LEFT and go over the overpass. The new outlet mall is on the left, less than a quarter mile away.
