IRS Phone Scam in Tampa Bay Area

This phone call was received on Nov. 9, 2015 around 3:31 p.m. ET at our house.  The fraudulent phone calls happen every six months.

If you get a threatening phone message like this one, the Internal Revenue Service says it’s usually a scam. The IRS advises you to beware of phone scammers phishing for your personal and financial information.  If IRS needs to contact you, the federal tax agency does not contact you by phone. The intimidating phone call was from 509-396-6806, Kennewick, Washington (Spokane area).
