If you want to vote in the Florida’s Presidential Preference Primary on March 15, 2016  or need to make changes in your voter registration, the deadline is February 16, 2016. According to the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, registered Republican voters can vote for Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jim Gilmore, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, John R. Kasich, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum and Donald J. Trump.  Registered Democrat voters can vote for Hillary Clinton, Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders.

Another resource for Asian Pacific Islander American voters is http://www.apiavote.org. This group is non-partisan. Asian Pacific Islander American voters generally lean toward Democratic Party candidates and values, according to APIA and Pew Research, but that’s not always the case. Older, successful, educated Asian Americans say they lean toward Republican, conservative values because they want fairness and don’t want to be penalized for working hard for their success with higher taxes. Frustrated with both parties, more Asian Americans also registered as Independent voters before the last Presidential election, according to APIA.

For more information, visit the Supervisor of Elections Office in your county or state.  In Hillsborough County (Tampa, Florida), visit http://www.votehillsborough.org.

The Supervisor of Elections Office also has registration drives at U.S. Citizenship Ceremonies on January 28th in Tampa and at Hillsborough Community College on N. Dale Mabry on January 27, 2016.
