Preliminary Voting Numbers in Hillsborough County

On Sunday, with just a few hours left to vote early in Hillsborough County (Tampa, Florida) here are some preliminary numbers:

23% of all registered Democrats and Republicans have voted by mail or voted early before Tuesday’s Presidential Preference Primary. The March 15, 2016 primary election is a closed election.  It’s also winner-take all in Florida.  214 delegates of 246 total are at stake for Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.  99 delegates are up for grabs for Republican candidates Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump.

The Supervisor of Elections Office reports 49,205 voted early, as of Saturday, March 12, 2016.

80,291 voted by mail, as of Friday, March 11, 2016 in Tampa-Hillsborough County.

Polls open Tuesday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. in Florida.
