AAA expects more than 38 million Americans will travel this Memorial Day weekend. AAA says it is the second-highest Memorial Day travel volume on record and the most since 2005. About 700,000 more people will travel this holiday weekend compared to 2015. The Memorial Day travel period began last Thursday and ends today, Monday, May 30th. AAA says the increase in holiday travel is due to the lowest gas prices in more than a decade.
