Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, CA

Enjoy the sights and sounds of Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, California. The scenic beach and park is part of the Monterey Bay area. Tourists climb down the rocks for great views of the water.  Monterey also has a Fisherman’s Wharf, the Cannery shopping-restaurant, a famous aquarium and 17 miles of beaches where some movie scenes where shot.

From Salinas, the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning author, John Steinbeck, it’s about a 15-mile drive from the lettuce fields on Hwy 68 through scenic valleys to Monterey, California.  If you have more time in the Salinas-Monterey area, drive along Highway 1,  the Pacific Coast Highway for spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. From San Jose, it’s an hour and a half drive to Salinas on Highway 101.
