July 4th Travel Advisory

Long TSA Security lines are expected at airports during this July 4th weekend, according to the Southwest Airlines website. The Transportation Safety Administration expects long lines at security checkpoints, especially if you’re catching a flight in the mornings. The TSA recommends arriving at the airport at least 2 hours for domestic travel and 3 hours for international flights.

For drivers, Florida Highway Patrol’s Sgt. Steve Gaskins says holiday travel is underway and advises caution. “Designate a driver, phones off and heads up. *FHP for assistance on highways,” Gaskins tweeted.
