The Beach Tampa by Snarkitecture opens August 5-25, 2016 at Amalie Arena in the Channelside area of downtown Tampa. It’s presented by the Vinik Family Foundation. An ocean of 1.2 million recyclable, anti-bacterial white balls will fill the arena floor to create the beach. The family friendly event is free to the public with tickets required for admission. There’s also free parking in the South Regional Parking Garage and free ice cream for each guest.
The white balls are coated with GermBLOCK, a safe, powerful agent that provides antimicrobial protection for guests against 50 different germs and bacteria for the life of the balls.
“After visiting The Beach DC last summer, I was inspired to share Snarkitecture’s vision with Tampa Bay” said Penny Vinik in the foundation’s news release. “The Beach Tampa transforms the familiar beach experience into a truly unique, visually stimulating and tactile activity. It’s just pure fun. Jeff and I welcome all of Tampa Bay to visit The Beach Tampa and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
General admission tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis during each day of operation. Tickets also can be reserved online at http://www.thebeachtampa.com
