St. Petersburg Police are looking for 3 men who invaded the home of an elderly couple and robbed them on August 1, 2016. The home invasion robbery happened in the area of 25th Avenue North and 26th Street.

Police say at 1:17 p.m., three black men in their late teens to early twenties, knocked on the door of a home in the area.  A 65 year old man  answered the door. One of the armed robbers hit the elderly man in the head with a handgun and pushed him to the floor.  Police say another armed robber forced the elderly man’s 76 year old wife to the floor and struck her in the face.

The armed suspects took money from the home and fled on foot eastbound on 24th Avenue North.

Police say surveillance video captured the suspects running from the area. A grey 2005 Ford Escape also was seen in the video circling the area and may have dropped the three armed robbers off in the area.
