Hillsborough County Primary Results – August 30, 2016


With 340 precincts (100%) counted in Hillsborough County, Florida, here are the latest results for Mail-in Ballots, Early Voting and Primary Day in Hillsborough County (Tampa, Florida) from the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. Republican Marco Rubio and Democrat Patrick Murphy received more than 60% of the vote in their party’s primary races.  Rubio and Murphy will face each other in the November 8th Election in the U.S. Senate race.

The Solar Power State Constitution  Amendment 4 also won with 75% Yes and 25% No votes.  Solar and renewable energy devices on business and industrial property won’t be taxed for 20 years. Residential property owners benefit from the tax break now. November 8th.

If not registered to vote in Florida, the deadline is October 11, 2016.  Next election is November 8th to elect the U.S. President and to decide U.S. Senate, Congressional, Florida and county races.

Polls open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8th.  Vote by mail or cast your ballot during  Early Voting to avoid rushing to the polls on Election Day before they close.
