Good News on Christmas Day 2016

After opening gifts and holiday weekend family meals together, more than 600 Chinese and Chinese Americans celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ at a combined worship service at Chinese Baptist Church in Houston on Christmas morning. Above the Chinese Baptist Church, the choir and orchestra celebrated the good news of a Savior born through music and carols sung in English and Chinese and a live nativity scene at the church.

Senior Pastor Dan Ho’s Christmas Day message was titled “Not the Good Secret, but the Good News.”  While today’s culture frowns on sharing one’s faith openly and in some cases, bans churches from displaying outdoor nativity scenes, Pastor Ho urged everyone to share the Good News of Jesus’s birth and that trusting in believing in His Son, Jesus will save all sinners.  The Christmas story is found in Luke 2:8-15.

“Peace on earth, good will toward men.” –Luke 2:14

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
