The Bereans class at Chinese Baptist Church in Houston rang in the New Year with an Asian-American potluck lunch on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Various noodle dishes, dim sum, roast Chinese chicken, angel food cake, cookies,  sandwiches, sweet potato casseroles, American sausages and other delicious dishes were all part of the class’s New Year’s Day celebration. Pastor George Lim’s message to this “young at heart” Sunday School class today was that God is faithful, is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and that God never abandons those who believe and trust in Jesus in good and bad times.

“God went to a lot of trouble to adopt you into His family,”  Pastor Lim said in reminding all that God’s son, Jesus, died on the cross for all sinners.
