Chicken and eggplant in light garlic sauce with brown rice and won ton soup from P. King R Chinese Food Fresh Ingredients in Bellaire, Texas

Good Chinese fast-food restaurants are hard to find in Bellaire, West University and Meyerland in Houston. P. King R Chinese Food Fresh Ingredients is worth the trip for lunch or dinner, especially if you don’t feel like driving to Houston’s Chinatown.

The Chinese fast-food restaurant has a fresh modern dining area and food to satisfy the appetites of Asian families and anyone with an appetite for Chinese food in southwest Houston suburbs inside the 610 loop.

Terry Liu and family opened their third and newest  restaurant on Bellaire Boulevard near Mapleridge Street in Bellaire this week.  Liu says every customer’s order is cooked fresh and with fresh ingredients. The Bellaire Chinese restaurant’s grand opening was yesterday, March 28th and today, it was packed for lunch.  The lunch combo specials are $7.95, $8.25 and $8.50 –all served with egg drop, won town or hot and sour soup, steamed, fried or brown rice with an egg roll or crab puff.  Customers also get larger portions of the main entrée and rice.

Since it opened,  Liu says customers also have requested Chinese barbeque duck or roast pork (Char-Siu) on rice plates and Chinese Vietnamese noodle soups.  She says the restaurant’s chef may add them to the menu in the future.

P. King R Chinese Food Fresh Ingredients is located at 5313 Bellaire Boulevard, Bellaire Texas 77401.  Phone is 832-516-8800.  Other locations are 8402 Hillcroft, Houston, Texas 77096 which has been open for a year, Liu says. The third restaurant is located at 10001 W. Parmer Lane, Austin, Texas 78717, which opened 4 months ago.
