The National Weather Service and local weather forecasts advise the public to stay hydrated, drink lots of water, stay indoors or go to a cooling center, seek shade, check on neighbors and senior adults in your family, do not leave children or pets in cars and stay informed during extreme heat. Extreme heat can result in heat-related illnesses and hundreds of deaths.
