Heat in Houston

The National Weather Service forecast for Houston is isolated showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. today.  At 3  p.m. Friday, it was 98 degrees, sunny and hot. The NWS forecasts the feel-like temperatures to be as high as 105 degrees and a 20% rain chance. Above, the Houston skyline and Medical Center from a high-rise in southwest Houston. During the summer heat wave, be sure to check on family, friends and elderly affected by power outages, have no air-conditioning or air quality. Move to air-conditioned places. Stay hydrated, eat more frequent, smaller meals and slow down your activities in this heat.
