A construction worker was robbed in broad daylight in the 4600 block of Birch Street in Bellaire, Texas on Thursday, April 26, 2018.  BPD posted the above video on YouTube.  If you have any information about the robbery suspect, his location or the red car with dark black windows, you are urged to call Bellaire Police at 713-668-0487.


Houston police arrested Kenneth Wayne Driver, 38 in connection with the murder of an an infant at 4700 South Kirkwood several years ago.  Driver is charged in the cold case murder that happened several years ago.  On November 15, 2011,  Baby Anthony was found not responding and pronounced dead in an apartment. The Harris County Medical Examiner autopsy revealed blunt force trauma to the baby’s head and neck.  Investigators questioned Driver in 2011, but Driver denied doing anything that resulted in baby Anthony’s death.

On April 17, 2018, Houston Police arrested Driver on an unrelated charge. Driver went into the Harris County jail.   The HPD Homicide Cold Case Unit interviewed Driver on Wednesday, April 25th.  According to Houston Police, Driver confessed and was charged with the baby’s murder.

Three Houston teenage boys went street racing that resulted in a deadly crash at 4000 West Fuqua.  The street racing crash killed two of the boys, 14 years and 15 years old.  It happened about 1:55 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25th.   A 14-year-old teenage boy survived and is charged with failure to stop and render aid and racing, causing death.  The Harris County medical examiner has not released the identities of the 14 and 15 year old boys, who were killed.

The juveniles were driving a Ford Explorer and a Ford Expedition at a high rate of seed on West Fuqua and lost control of their SUVs, going off the road.  Houston Police say the Explorer struck a tree while the Expedition hit a speed limit sign.  A Houston Police officer saw the vehicles race and crash.   The officer saw the Expedition driver stop and try to flee in his vehicle.  The 14-year-old driver was taken into custody.  The two teenage boys in the Explorer were pronounced dead.   The investigation is ongoing.


Two people found dead after a fire at 12000 Winfrey Lane had gunshot wounds, according to Houston Police Police.  The Harris County medical examiner identified the victims as Jose Martinez, 33 and his brother, Javier Martinez, 23 of Falcon Heights, Texas.

Houston Police and the Houston Fire Department  were called to a grass fire near the 800 flock of John Alber.  Firefighters found a vehicle on fire on Winfrey Lane.  After putting out the fire, two dead people were found inside the vehicle.

An autopsy revealed the Martinez brothers had been shot multiple times.
