Houston Children Shootings

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, HPD homicide investigators, friends and family are asking the public for information in the shooting of a four-year-old boy at 4141 Barberry.

A news briefing will take place at the Kings Row Apartments at 4141 Barberry today.

Houston Police say two groups of men exchanged gunfire in the Kings Row apartment complex where four-year-old SirRomeo Milam was shot in the stomach.  The shooting happened around 9:35 p.m. on May 15th.

Milam was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital where he was treated and released.  At this time, there are no known suspects.


Houston Police also are investigating the shooting of juvenile male around 11 a.m. on June 20 at the Silver Glen Apartments at 7601 Curry Road.

The 11-year-old victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and released.

HPD patrol officers found the victim shot in the arm.  Houston Police say the suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
