Pamela Johnson Murder in Harris County

Update Tuesday, July 17, 2018 — Jose Gilberto Rodriguez, 46, wanted in a crime spree that involved the Johnson murder, other crimes since July 9th, was arrested this morning in Cypress neighborhood this morning.  Rodriguez had criminal history and is a registered sex offender.  He was arrested without incident in NW Houston neighborhood where the murders  and robberies happened.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help in finding the person who murdered 62-year-old Pamela Johnson. She was found dead on Friday, July 13, 2018, at approximately 6:30 P.M. inside her home at 12402 Bent Pine DR, in northwest Harris County.  Johnson’s family became concerned when they could not reach her and contacted law enforcement.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigation also revealed Johnson’s personal property and a maroon, 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser were stolen from her home.  The car was found abandoned in a parking lot at Willowbrook Mall on Saturday night, July 14th.

Investigators searched the mall’s surveillance video that revealed a man parked the vehicle in the mall parking lot on Saturday morning around 11:00 A.M.  HCSO says the suspect walked through the mall and went out the other side where the PT Cruiser was parked.

The suspect is described having an “olive” complexion, possibly Hispanic, 30-35 years old,  5’07’ to 5’09” tall, thin build, short hair with tattoos on both forearms.
