Franklin won her first Grammy with the pop anthem song, “Respect.” She won at least 18 Grammy awards during her 60-year singing career. Franklin broke barriers and received America’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Loved by generations of fans, Aretha Franklin will be missed.
