A crash at 1100 North State Highway 6 killed a man on Sunday morning, August 19th  around 1:30 a.m.  The 52-year-old driver of a red For Expedition was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Baker reported the Ford Expedition was headed north on Highway 6. While in the left turn lane, the driver ignored the turn lane markings, continued northward, struck a curb and a light signal pole.

No one else was involved in the fatal accident.


A woman was fatally stabbed at 10555 Spice Lane last Friday night, August 17th, around 11 a.m.   Houston Police say the woman in her 50’s remain unidentified and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detective R. Watson and C. Duncan reported to an assault  in progress at an apartment on Spice Lane.  Police found the woman dead inside the living room. A witness saw the woman struggling with an unknown man who escaped.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin, Hispanic male in his late 30’s.

Houston Police also are investigating a man shot at 18355 Tomball Parkway.  It happened around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, August 17th.

Johnny Landry, 45, was wounded and reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital.

HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detectives B. Salazar and C. Grahmann report Landry and his 25-year-old girlfriend were celebrating their children’s birthdays and began arguing outside in the parking lot.  That’s when Landry’s girlfriend pulled out a gun and began chasing and shooting at him.

At this time, no arrest nor charges have been filed.
